A Project to Manage the Cap Monastir Marina Cat Population
Cap Monastir Marina is home to a thriving community—both human and feline. Stray cats play a vital role in keeping cockroaches and rats at bay, making life on the docks and in the restaurants more pleasant for everyone. However, an uncontrolled cat population can lead to issues such as poor health, disruptive behaviour, and unwanted sprayingon boats. Our mission is to create a sustainable, healthy, and well-managed cat population through a humane sterilization program. By spaying and neutering marina cats, we aim to:
Prevent overpopulation, reducing the number of sick and struggling kittens.
Ensure healthier, happier cats that peacefully coexist with boaters, residents, and visitors.
Minimize disruptive behaviors, such as fighting, yowling, and spraying.
Maintain their role as natural pest control, keeping rodents and insects in check without resorting to harmful poisons or traps.
This initiative is 100% community-funded, and we need your help to make it happen! Every donation goes initially to vet fees for sterilisation, then when the population is under control, for vaccination and medical care, and then to food and ongoing support to ensure the well-being of our marina’s feline guardians.Join us in creating a balanced, thriving environment for both people and cats.Donate today using the link below and be part of the solution!
